Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 18—The jury which is to try
Harvey Logan, the alleged Montana train robber, was
completed today. When the federal court convened
Judge Clark overruled a plea in abatement, presented
by the defense yesterday and thereupon the defense
sought a continuance on the ground that James
Stewart of Chicago, an “important witness” had been
summoned. The clerk of the court testified the
summons had been sent to the marshal at Chicago but
had been returned. The continuance was denied and
the trial proceeded. The hearing of evidence began
this afternoon. |
