Sheriff Campbell received word
Saturday evening that the Winnemucca bank robbers
were heading for North Fork. He and J. J. Campbell
left about 8 o’clock with the intention of heading
them off if possible. A message was received from
Johnson’s this forenoon said that the Sheriff ate
breakfast there Sunday morning and left for the
Mardis country. Word came from Tuscarora this
morning that the bandits had robbed a sheep camp
about thirty miles from there of ammunition and food
and had broken a rifle. Posses are in hot pursuit
and the robbers may yet be caught. |
