Outlaw Trail...The Movie.
According to IMDB, there's a movie called Outlaw Trail currently filming in Utah. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid are both listed in the cast of characters along with Scoutmaster Harve. I have no idea what Harve's character is about, but what a great name. If I find anything else out about the movie, I'll post it here.

Japanese Movie Posters on ebay.

There's a couple auctions on ebay right now for Japanese versions of the Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid movie posters. They're expensive (one has a Buy it Now price of $1,400), but interesting.

Catfight at the O.K. Corral
Jim Kershner, columnist for the Spokesman-Review, posted an article to his Inland Northwest History blog last November titled "Did Butch Cassidy retire to Spokane?"

The article itself is fairly brief - a quick rundown of Larry Pointer's 1977 book, In Search of Butch Cassidy - the resulting catfight in the comments section, is not.

Nearly seventy years after his death, the debate over William T. Phillips' identity still rages on. To date there have been 65 replies to Kershner's post; the majority of which consist of bickering between two camps (the real thing vs. fraud), often to the point of high (or low, depending on your point of view) comedy.

At any rate, it makes for an interesting read.

Matt Warner Letter Found
From the Janurary 11, 2006 edition of the Reno Gazette-Journal:

"Thanks to a sharp-eyed Reno history sleuth, a valuable Utah document with connections to famed outlaw Butch Cassidy and his Wild Bunch has been returned to its rightful place in Salt Lake City.

Rich Johnston, a state photographer employed by the Nevada Department of Transportation in Carson City, said a two-page letter offered for sale in an online auction last spring caught his attention."

The online version of the article has scanned copies of the letter attached.
