Hole in the Wall Gang saddles up for another ride
CHEYENNE - During any other week, the members of the Hole in the Wall Gang are attorneys, actors or historians.
But for seven days every September this group transforms into Old West outlaws. Each year the gang saddles up to ride through Wyoming's original desperado hangouts.
On Monday, they met in Cheyenne to kick off their 30th anniversary ride.
Gang member Jon Chandler of Denver said the original Hole in the Wall Gang was named for its Johnson County hideout. Infamous outlaws like Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid and Black Jack Ketchum pastured stolen livestock and found shelter in this Wyoming valley west of Kaycee. - Wyoming Tribune-Eagle
