Conservation Group Wants Special Protections for Adobe Town
ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. - A Laramie-based conservation group asked the Wyoming Environmental Quality Council to approve special designations to protect approximately 180,000 acres of Adobe Town, a unique formation of rocks, cliffs and spires in southwestern Wyoming.
At the turn of the 20th Century, Robert LeRoy Parker and Kid Curry _ better known as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid _ used the badlands of Adobe Town to hide fresh horses, including those used to rob a Union Pacific train at Tipton in the summer of 1900. - More at Casper Star Tribune

Off-Road Adventures - The Outlaw Trail Part VII
On June 28, 1897, the Sundance Kid, Kid Curry, Tom Oday, Walt Puteney, and George Curry held up the bank in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. They got away with about $87. Long before the Sundance Kid began riding with Butch Cassidy, he was teamed up with Kid Curry. The two outlaws were a lot alike. Both were very fast and deadly accurate with six-guns. Both shot and killed lawmen as well as others who they considered to be a threat. Most of all, no matter how hard they tried, neither one could plan a successful robbery. - More at Off-Road
